We get a bird’s eye view of the home of the San Francisco Giants. Originally named Pacific Bell Park, then SBC Park, again renamed in 2006 to AT&T Park until 2019 when it adopted the name Oracle Park. This stadium replaced the former “Candelstick Park”, a dual home for both the San Francisco Giants and the San Francisco 49’ers. For 40 years baseball and football fans braved the swirling winds and cold of “Candelstick Park” until Oracle Park was opened.

March 31, 2000, Oracle Park opened. The stadium seats 42,000 spectators. The park stands along the San Francisco Bay, where hitters aim for McCovey Cove, and fans wait in their kayaks, and boats to scoop up the “Splash Hits”, out of the bay. McCovey Cove, the unofficial name of a section of San Francisco Bay beyond the right field wall. named for famed first baseman Willie McCovey. McCovey Cove has seen 81 “Splash Hits” (homeruns) since the opening of Oracle Park. Another San Francisco Giant Legend, Barry Bonds was, responsible for 35 of the 81.

Behind the left field bleachers stands the 80-foot long Coca-Cola bottle. This area is complete with slides and a miniature replica of the stadium. Next to the bottle is another oversized representation of a ballpark stalwart, “Giant 1927 Old-Time Four-Fingered Baseball Glove”.

San Francisco Giant’s Fans were “Beli-even” with the San Francisco Giants being World Series Champions in, 2010, 2012, and 2014. We see the confetti fly, at the parade celebration for one of the victories.
