We took a similar city tour some 20 years ago. We enjoyed this tour but felt that the route that the bus took was not as good as our previous tour. As San Francisco is well known for many sites, the 3 sites that were not available to pass by were Coit Tower , The Painted Ladies and The Crooked Street. We were told that they have become exclusion zones for buses and large vehicles, so we acknowledge that this is out of all tour operators control, but knowing this prior may have changed our decision on the city tour as we then had to make our own way to these locations, as these were things that we personally wanted to see.Alcatraz tour was good and enjoyable. Overall the day was great and well managed.

Not sure how to write this one. Our tour guide was Michelle, and Lee was our driver - both were great. You visit many iconic locations in SF, but only get 15 mins. at each stop - off the bus, snap a few pics and back on to the next location. The tour of Alcatraz though, makes this a five star tour. Wow! We were on the island for 2.5 hours. So much history, more areas open than in years past and more work going into previously inaccessible areas. Make sure to use the restroom off the boat, it’s a long climb to the next one. The flys in some of the outer buildings are overwhelming. And carry some extra napkins in case a bird pops on you.
